    Re: Sales Predictions

Relapse had a number one single and 3 top 20 singles, and it's gonna be hard to beat that. Also, i know a lot of people who aren't huge Eminem fans but just bought Relapse because it was his comeback CD. It doesn't matter if it's another style; the market is down, Relapse wasn't critically acclaimed, and there isn't a single yet (and normally singles take like a month to take off on radio).

            Re: Sales Predictions

If you think that these new artists will sell anywhere near 500K, you must be brain dead. All of these new artists are going to sell around 150K in their first week. If Lil Wayne only sold about 150K in his first week, then I seriously doubt any new artist will top that, even though it was an experimental album.

Other artists such as Kanye West and The Game will sell 250K+ in the first week. Lil Wayne and Eminem will sell the most obviously, by selling a maximum of 500K in the first week. Those saying "a milli" are dumb. The economy is down, and more people are stealing music now more than ever (including me).

NOTE: Maybe we could hold a contest for predictions lol. Whoever predicts closest to the actual number without going over wins. Came up with that last night, thought it was funny.

If you take a look at his last sales, him doing that is somewhat a huge improvement. Plus drake's hype is mad, the album has MAD features and promotion will be good tbh, we'll see though,

50 Cent sold like 900k on his debut, Snoop Dogg sold 800k, Kanye sold 450k. That's all on debut albums, so don't tell me 150k is the ceiling.

Oh, and about the note, that sounds like a great idea! We can start with Bobby Ray. My official guess is 225 000.

Wayne sold 150k in the first week because Rebirth was mostly utter shit IMO. Poorly promoted too.
