This list is seriously a joke without J. Cole on it. I'm not even a Cole stan but that one omission IMO shows how ignorant MTV is. His album was one of the best of the year lyrically and commercially compared to anyone on this list. He had a better year than Wale particularly....

Ummmmm Its very obvious wale had a better year then Cole. He was hotter..... He was on more songs and on 2 albums..... It's not who can rhyme better its who was hotter... Cole really ain't do shit but tha album.... And its not hands down that he lyrically better than wale

Top 15 ? Who cares about that ? Who recognizes that ? Wale had a #1 and its prolly still #1 if you wanna go there my nigga... All Cole did was drop old songs and that album with a few features.... Wale had a bag full of features like 2 mixtapes, 2 cds, that way & lotus flower bomb both hit #1 if I'm not mistaken unlike dudes #15 song if you wanna go there my dude

Sorry bro but Ambition was not that good of an album, Cole's album killed his. Wale had songs peak at #38 and #49 in the US. J Cole had songs peak at #13 and #52. Cole's album peaked at #1 while Wale's album peaked at #2. Not hating on Wale (I like him), but in no way was Wale hotter than J Cole in 2011.

And when I listen to the radio I hear Work Out & Can't Get Enough all the time, but rarely hear Wale songs.

Obviously you haven't heard all the MMG songs that were out in 2011. Wale jumped on a lot of songs, did a bunch of freestyles and shit. Cole didn't.
