Cole the only artist who dont really sell out complelty meaing his songs are never club bangas all the time he always be spitting that true true which affects record sales a lil
Wale Dnt Sale Out, Kendrick Didn't Sell Out, Kanye is Kanye, Mac Aint Sell Out...... Cole Just Dnt Bring It Like He Should. people expect so much from him album wise & he dropped the ball first time around..... but he went gold so that's good... he'll get to gold again im pretty sure
Deff got more complex rhymes, deeper voice. I could see him being in pro era hes changed so much
I doubt he will, He gonna take his own path, I don't think Astro and Pro Era share the same ideas on things, Era is all about that indigo children , third eye type ish.
Drake isn't from America, and even if you want to count him he has a Houston influence
Edit: Your list is slick wack. 50 has been struggling for a while. The Kendrick feature didn't even get him a hit. Fab comes and goes, never heard of Omen, only two people from the MOB are making moves, Underachievers are dope af you can have that one, most people can only name two Pro Era members (Joey & Steez),and DC does its own hip-hop thing so it isn't considered New York/Northern.
You forgot 2 Chainz from the south too. He's definitely making moves and selling records
Forgot Jeezy and Juicy J too
Lol Its obvious Northern artist got way better lyricist, I mean comparing Chief Keef and Trindad James to Nas or JoeyBad@$$
But like I said, The south make better SONGS all around. Most people dont go around blasting a Nas song nowadays, but theyll quickyly blast a trinidad james or wackflacka song,
Depends on the listener. I for one will always be a fan of lyricism over anything else, forget all that trap stuff.
JoeyBad and the beast coast movement arent signed to a major, all their buzz is off of internet marketing purely which is another reason they aint really selling
