I agree, but New York is starting to see more limelight. Flatbush Zombies and The Underacheivers are getting exponentially more fans.

Drake isn't from America, and even if you want to count him he has a Houston influence

Edit: Your list is slick wack. 50 has been struggling for a while. The Kendrick feature didn't even get him a hit. Fab comes and goes, never heard of Omen, only two people from the MOB are making moves, Underachievers are dope af you can have that one, most people can only name two Pro Era members (Joey & Steez),and DC does its own hip-hop thing so it isn't considered New York/Northern.

You forgot 2 Chainz from the south too. He's definitely making moves and selling records
Forgot Jeezy and Juicy J too

              Juicy J = Garbage
              2 Chainz = Super Garbage
Jeezy's the only one that can actually rap out of the 3

50 = Millionaire businessman philanthropist makin moves outside of music, not to mention he's a father to modern hip/hop
Fab, Omen, every artist in pro era and the mob can rap circles around 90% of southern artists, DC is in the North, Wale is a Northern Rapper, that's what this discussion is about, North v. South, same thing goes for Toronto and Drake
and by that Drake logic you're tryin to give, Rocky has a Houston influence, so he's a Houston rapper?

and I like how you disregard every other Northern rapper on the list, you didn't even name the best on there, you can have the people you named, north still winning

              take your L

Why are dudes on this site so sensitive damn lol. You might as well consider Rocky southern too. The term trill is definitely southern, and without that Houston influence he wouldn't be where he is. Check his music before he picked it up. We might as well agree to disagree though. This site definitely isn't one for discussion

Dude took the time to find a gif and all that.

New York usually got the dope lyricist,

but chicago and other places int he south make better songs
                      all around

so it really depend on the listener, if you like lyricism or like a good sounding song to bump too,

TDE is A mixture of both, they be lyrical on trap sounding beats soemtimes
