    2. Kevin Gates - Extremely unique. Says some of the realist shit I've ever heard and probably the most intelligent rapper I've ever heard. Even his interviews you can tell how smart this guy is. His music isn't like anybody else's.

    3. 2Pac - For the same reason a lot of people said. His music speaks to you and has a strong message. Some of his tracks like "Dear Mama" and "Changes" have helped me a lot in life tbh.

    4. The Game - One of the realist rappers. Made so many classic West Coast tracks back in the day and put the West back on the map.

    5. J. Cole - Relate to his music. When I first heard "Lost Ones" it was probably the realist song I've ever heard in my life. I've gone through something just like that and it's unexplainable. When he dropped The Warm Up & Friday Night Lights I swear everything he was saying I could relate too.

    Honorable Mentions -

Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Biggie, Drake, Kanye, Flow, UGK, Andre 3000, Bone Thugs.
Damn first J Cole on a list, respect.
Deff going to be one of the best complete artist like kanye, how he produces his albums and shows us the image of what he see's his songs as
The borders should be illegal instead of the people, who were here before the bible and all of its sequels

Not sure of the criteria. Are you asking who are the best artists at rapping (wordplay, flow, delivery, etc.) or the best rappers in general (production choice, ability to tell a story, etc.)? I'll make a list according to both.

      Best rappers:

      1. MF DOOM
      2. Nas
      3. Rakim
      4. GZA
      5. Immortal Technique

Best rappers in terms of overall artistry:

      1. Kanye West
      2. Rest of List

Kendrick soon to be #2 on the list.

                Heeeiscraaazy

In terms of legacy, career, and amount of content released, Wayne is definitely top 5 (possibly top 3), but if those are the 5 rappers I consider to be the most skilled

                    Alive only
Pac and Biggie is like debating Magic and Bird you can't pick one so will just leave them out

                    1. Jay-Z- ridiculous body of work and with multiple classics has flow, lyrics, and can make both deep songs and radio hits
                    2. Lil Wayne- The Rapper Eater, makes incredible music at an insane rate, probably the GOAT of Metaphors
                    3. Eminem- has two diamond albums which is crazy in music in general lyrically one of the greatest and so many people found him relateable to their lives
                    4. Nas- Illmatic enough said
                    5. Kanye- Great Producer and Rapper, Creative Genius, his ranting will keep him from ever surpassing many on this list though

                    Honorable Mentions
                    6. Dr. Dre- the guy was in NWA and signed/discovered Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar serious impact on rap over decades
                    7. 50 cent- probably one of the coolest rap names and had a classic and some other good albums
                    8. Drake- has mixed rapping and singing and one of the first Social Media rappers to be discovered and blow up huge

people are writing there reasons for liking specific rappers so im going to write mine also hahha

                      1. Lil Wayne: My all time favorite rapper such a unique artist to the rap game. His style and bars are just fantastic and never get old, i also grew up listening to his music.

                      2. Immortal Technique: a lot of his music has touched me and makes me think which i like. I also grew up listening to him, his message and his aggression is just out of this world.

                      3. Tupac: i wont lie at first i wasent the biggest tupac fan, But i listening to Me Againest The World and The Don: Killuminati and enjoyed both albums. After that i got to know more about his character and his message and not to mention his insane energy and he became one of my favorites.

                      4. Drake: such a awesome rapper his albums are just great to vibe to his flow and his song topics are easy to relate to he has dope flow and awesome energy.

                      5. Kendrick Lamar: fantastic rapper with amazing skill his songs have a unique feel to them and throwing on some kendrick lamar brings such a unique atmosphere. Something that i have not experienced since i first listened to Weezy but he is still a young artist and i look forward to seeing what he can deliver in the next few years.
