That deal is not happening lol...I heard they can't even afford both Kobe, Dwight and CP3 contracts, is that true?


Deal would be stupid for Kobe right now but good for the Lakers in the future. They would have to trade their whole roster just to get those 2 guys. They wouldn't even win in their 1st year most likely without a supporting cast. Howard would literally be the only big guy on their team and when he gets in foul trouble they'd be done lol


If anything I hope they only get Dwight and keep one of their bigs

Actually, as ESPN reported we can take on the deals of CP3 & Dwight both. You relize we'd give up Bynum, Pau, Odom and lose their contracts right? The Lakers being the biggest NBA Franchise, have the highest pay roll by far. If they can pull the deal, money will not be a problem.

Lakers are 'very' close to signing a 2 year contract with Jason Kapano. I like this addition, he's cheap, great shooter, and won't be a distraction.

If they get all 3 of them they are going to be in the same boat Miami is in but worse off with an aging superstar, i mean at least the Big 3 in Miami are young so they can take that kind of load all season. I say get one superstar preferably Dwight and try to sign some second tier Free Agent so they can a good starting lineup/reserves and some wiggle room incase they want someone else next year.

Aaron Afflalo
Jason Kapono

And then add a Baron Davis, Josh McRoberts, or even Delonte West.

Dwight is a must and be able to keep Gasol is fine.

Kobe's gonna be a free agent next year though so how are they gonna have the money to pay all 3 of them? If they get all 3 of them they are going to be in the same boat Miami is in but worse off with an aging superstar, i mean at least the Big 3 in Miami are young so they can take that kind of load all season. I dont think we would be in the same boat as Miami..The main reason that didnt completely work in the beginning is because Wade and Lebron pretty much do the same thing on the team..They both have to dominate the ball to be effective..even Chris bosh's main skill is scoring..With Kobe, Howard, and Paul its different because they fit so well..Kobe is obviously the scorer, Paul will distribute the ball and doesnt have to score to be effective, and Dwight is the Defender and doesnt need to score to be effective..Perfect fit..just find a few role players and its all gravy

We might struggle a little off the bat, but it'll be nice to get the back-to-back-to-back out of the way our first three games of the season so we don't have to worry about it the rest of the season. It'll also help us gell with Mike Brown's new system since we have a shortened training camp as well.
