      o yeah i dont usually eat protein bars at all i just needed some energy. I like to eat banana and oatmeal for pre workout, or just reg. food.

        its not necessarily not good, its just overrated a bit...shakes are good to have dont get me wrong, its just taking that alone wont make you big like some people think....i personally have a shake, but thats not all i have i make myself a tuna sandwich after and have some almond spread on the sandwich too....just try to eat something after your workout too and not just have a protein shake, so in your case a smoothie is good, just try to have some actual food with it as well

              Today I went over to my local vitamin shoppe and bought Proto Whey Vanilla Creme powder. I took it today after my workout and it tastes amazing. Has anyone ever used this stuff and seen nice results??

                not to say its just like any other kind of protein powder.....but its like any other kind of protein shake aha their all good, but ya i hada protowhey when i started actually its really good, and again with the results its not just from having a protein shake after your workout, its about your entire eating process in general, if you want to put on weight and muscle you'll have to absorb more protein (therefore eat more food)...its a good source of protein but also try to have a little snack or something along with it after a workout like a peanut butter sandwich or something like that

                also aha when you guys workout and you listen to your songs do you guys listen for lyrics or beat?? me personally its all about the beat so when i workout i just listen to the instrumentals of songs no words aha (i find them distracting)

                  Well I've been drinking it once I get up in the morning, then I work at a Italian deli/restauraunt so throughtout the day I pick at slices of grilled chicken, flank steak, broccoli, and they have bags of peanuts/almonds/ etc so sometimes ill have those, then for lunch I try to have low carbs like today I had a plate of chicken arubula and like 2 thin slices of flank steak, then I worked out and took another serving of the Proto Whey, and about 2 hours later I just made some egg whites. Im probaly done for today but I plan on sticiking to the same routine. And Ill tell you what the past couple days ive been feeling alot better about the way I look and shit. My main goal is to get ripped and add maybe a few pounds of muscle. As of right now im motivated and I feel like ima be motivated for awhile (hopefully lol) I no its gonna be hard though becuase of the holidays and shit but Ima push myself to eat right and keep exercising at least 5 days a week.

                  And when I workout I listen to both tbh, especially if its a song with hard/inspirational lyrics
