Russia also is secretly interested into expanding their empire (or in their terms, restoring their former borders).

The US won't do shit. Ukraine won't declare war with Russia, because they will get destroyed. They might divide the nation from Crimea, I don't really know. It's tense as shit right now there. My Ukrainian roommate is in the Dominican right now, so I can't really get a good sense of what is going on.

Oh and another thing, UK, America all signed a treaty with Ukraine and Russia in the 90's promising dragging them into a war if Russia invaded their borders. The US and the UK have to follow this agreement.
