A simple power off and on will fix the problem

-Nino- just ignore Jrock and do the following:

On the boot hit F10, F11 or F12 (depends on your comp) which will take you to the boot menu, from there insert an OS CD of the OS you are currently using. Choose the options to repair from a CD and repair only your System32 and it should work.

Clearly i stated i didn't know exactly to do in that situation (inserting a windows CD isn't going to help activate a keyboard)

              -Nino- Ignore Bliss false information

              - Reinstall your keyboard driver
              - Use your Alternatively keyboard in the mean time by opening "Run" usually in Programs\Accessories and enter osk

LOL you are aware what I said will re-install the keyboard driver
My information is never "false" you're the one who claimed spyware wasn't malware....FAIL!

Not technically, it will only reinstall the keyboard driver if it finds a problem or error and from what it seems it doesn't look like a software problem, to me it looks more of a hardware but i would maually reinstall the driver just in case.
Btw i said spyware and malware have there own agenda and both serve different ways in infecting a operation system

Jrock we have no real idea of the problem except the keyboard won't work, it doesn't seem like anything because we don't know anything more about the problem. If he ran my method and it doesn't fix it then what you just said would be the next step. But just so you can hopefully understand...spyware IS malware they don't have their own agenda because spyware is a type of malware, malware is almost any virus etc.. that you get, spyware has a different way to infect your comp from other viruses but spyware itself is malware so don't try and facepalm me when you don't even know what malware is
