It's based on Sales, Radio play, buzz, playback, favorites etc...

Wait how the fuck did Katy Perry pass him? I think they added one or two days worth of sales for the other artist because Wayne didn't drop it till Thursday on iTunes . I'm expecting this to move up a few spots on Billboard on the comming week, Wayne needs to send out a tweet or someshit for the people who don't use Facebook to buy and support his single!

the person a few pages back who said something like "instead of a milli on steroids, he's gotta put out lollipop with more sugar" couldnt be more right.

lets face it, the main reason carter 3 sold as many copies as it did is because of lollipop. that song was HUGE in 08. you couldnt go anywhere without hearing it on radio, tv, ringtones, etc.

6'7 doesnt have this power, and i hate saying this but the next single for C4 has to be a very mainstream song if they expect it to sell anywhere near the amount that carter 3 did. if this doesnt happen i predict C4 will sell around 300k first week and wont hit platnium.

dont get me wrong, i will still love the music regardless. but it will be a shame if wayne falls off if C4 flops. if C4 flops wayne will become irrelevant in the mainstream media's eyes

Not necessarily, C4 is a follow up from C3 so its has alotta hype, basicly any1 who bought C3 should be more excited for C4, Plus Wayne is known around the world by EVERY1. Plus C4 has been in the works since 08, we have been waiting almost 3 years. C3 didnt sell alot because of lollipop. Wayne had huuuuge hype before that shit released. Drought 3, he was named hottest mc in the game, he was everywhere. Yall keep thinking a big single = big sales smh.

You couldn't be more wrong. Wayne has the fan base to support huge sales, thats all. A single is just goodfor extra promotion.

Kanye put up huge numbers without any hit.

C3 didnt sell a milli because of lollipop. It sold a milli because wayne was the most popular atists in music and had the fanbase to support. Lollipop did help with promotion.

Somebody previously said Florida has top singles but doesnt sell shit. Wayne's fanbase is what gives him sales. Don't insult the dude for atleast giving reason behind his speculation.
