what up yung. surprised to catch a head here who knows what Eyedeas about. Definitely understand if you're not that into his albums, he's out there. Wayne and eyedea are opposite sides of the spectrum, how do you go between them? can you critique Wayne at all? I feel retardedly redundant with this shit, but how do you feel about my questions in post above yours?

hyped you peeped this thread though, definitely. also... if you hadnt heard, Eyedea passed away in october. can't even put into words what a loss he is.. I did catch his memorial concert that his label put on for him. a lotta stories, moments of silence, a lot of his friends and influence got on stage. they threw down a 10-15 minute freestyle between all the rappers at the very end of it, properly.

Whats your problem, man? I'm not doing anything to bash him. I just want to know what, or how, his fans think about Wayne's more controversial issues. Lol I'm even not trying to sell Eyedea, I used him as a comparison for freestyle.

Does Weez have a lot of talent for a rapper?

Does Weez set bad examples for people, the youth, through his lyrics?
Does Weez set bad examples for people with his actions (drugs/guns - prison)?
Do you think people dismiss hip-hop artists because they think they are all like Weez? (example- Eyedea, who only one of you have known about so far, who is a Weez fan, who said himself Eyedea is a hiphop legend.)
Are A LOT (not all) of his fans influenced by his music?
--If yes to the question above, doesn't that make our generation even "more pointless"?
--If yes, does it bother you that his music does these things?

I listen to Wayne because I think he is the most entertaining rapper ..
I dont listen to rap because I want to be educated.. Thats what my teachers are for..

I just wanted you to know that not all Wayne fans don't see the big picture in Hip-Hop. Yes there's a lot of pointless bs in Hip-Hop now a days, but just take a look at this generation, they're pretty pointless them self's. All they wanna do is smoke, have sex, and make money so that's why they love Wayne music. His music = their fantasy.

Actually homeboy, it was one of your own who called this generation pointless.

That doesn't change the fact that he's like the #1 "artist" in the US and 90%+ of his songs are horrible examples of how to live your life, and kids are marjorly influenced by it. It's fucked up, no matter if you listen to Brittany Spears, Garth Brooks, Bieber, Miley, The Beatles, or if you're Weez himself.

thats their problem /decision if they do, noone forces them to take weezy as an example for hip hop they can decide to listen to xyz for a start if they want to listen to hip hop, enough other hip hop artist out there to listen to.

and on topic: im not black im not from america so maybe thats why i doenst understand all this a rapper has to be "real" or "the truth" thing but when i like music from sum1 i listen to it and i dont take lyrics for an example to live my life after.

Obviously nobody directly follows his lyrics in their life. But after listening to him repeatedly, people subconsciously adapt his themes, this is with out a doubt.

More importantly, and the last thing I have, is about the entire genre.
