I'm glad he is sober! Honestly I think he's lyrical content clearer and smarter. Like it's not only punch-line rhymes now. He does the punch-line stuff still but all the punch-lines connect with each other and have some relevance to each other.

Well I've been sober for over a year and something and I have no desire to start up again. I think you eventually reach that point where you realize it's not worth it anymore. So I doubt he will go back to using anything. I think that by 2014 he will realize he is #1 with no one disagreeing. He will realize that he can only be at that level sober. I mean look at Eminem, he is on the sober route and Recovery is one of his best albums imo. Not as raw as The Marshall Mathers EP, but more mature for sure.

I think we as fans will be better to answer this question waiting for the next album after C4. I say that because C4 will be a great album but I don't think it will meet our expectations at first. I think we will be able to appreciate the album and the content Wayne is trying to get across a couple of months later. Honestly I don't think C4 will be as big of a hit (mainstream) as C3, but the lyrical content and the mental clarity will be felt throughout the whole album. So obviously it will be a different vibe.

Like I said, we will just have to wait until after C4 to fully debate this topic. He's only released 8ish new songs since getting out. It's too soon to fully decide what is "better."

he raps best when hes high but being sober is better for nae nae and the rest of his children and young money/cash money and he is way easier to interview lol *carter documentary*

I mean we haven't seen THAT much from him, but I think the sober Wayne can only ever be a positive thing that carrys into his rapping. And him writing lyrics means he will have better structure and flow to his rapping. He still is the same in terms of his style but I'm looking forward to C4 and what lyrical ability it'll bring.

I like both. But there was a period I didn't like, where he was on heavy drugs, with heavy autotune and bad singing/rap.

I don't think we've got enough to say what is better musically. He's been on drugs since he was 16 (when he started sipping) and I'm sure he was smoking before that. But as far as health and personality goes, I am glad for him.

But anything is better than March-October 2009 Weezy for sure (with the exception of a few songs). That was a period where I stopped fucking with anything he was releasing, he was still my favorite rapper and I banged his previous stuff to death, but I couldn't get with what he was doing

I think waynes lyrics are more clever and he can think foreals now that hes sober, but i did love when he used to say weed an syrup and the light flickers in his songs, bein high also gave him a nice flow to. will just for carter 4 to see whats better, hes also a real cool person now. when he was on syrup if u watch some videos back in 08 hes like day dreaming or somthing like hes lost, now he talks alot and jokes around

I wasn't sure at first about it - I like both the new and the old Wayne. At least now that he's sober we won't have to worry about him dying any time soon!

I am pleased with the new sober Wayne. When I look back to the interviews where he was high, and when I saw ESPN interview you can see a big difference. He dresses more polite, but still hot and he is showing a side that no one ever saw, because he was high. And the music...I mean the music is changed too, I wouldn't say it's better...It's still the same, but you can hear the difference.

very true lilwaynegifs. But have you ever noticed that when your high as fuck its easy to rap and think about that shit because it flows easy of the dome at least to me anyway, and now he is sober so he actually takes time to write and because of that i think is why his music is better but the old wayne still was bomb as hell to listen too. just my opinion
