I think The sober Wayne is better cuz 6'7 and fire flame remix is the hardest Shit he's ever put out cept a few exceptions but his lyrics are more clever and better now and he can finally think out his lines clearly cuz sometimes when he was high the first thing that popped in his head he would use except on a few occasions again but I think he is better Now with his lyrics like he said and at least he is some what healthy lol

But have you ever noticed that when your high as fuck its easy to rap and think about that shit because it flows easy of the dome at least to me anyway, and now he is sober so he actually takes time to write and because of that i think is why his music is better but the old wayne still was bomb as hell to listen too. just my opinion
I couldn't agree more, but did you see his latest Ustream appearance? He did a freestyle, which was sick! So judging by his latest freestyle on Ustream, he can still rap like before, but of course CIV won't be a freestyle, and I agree that it definitely takes time to write new music for him now.

i do love the raw spitting that wayne seems to have found since hes gotten out of jail, but when he was on drugs he made some really deep shit that you didnt just hear, you listened to. especially if you were on drugs too.

tracks like "me and my drank", "i feel like dying", "something you forgot", and "im me" are just insane to listen to. i think the drugs slowed his delivery but deepened his thought process...i guess CIV will tell us for sure though.
My picture should be in the dictionary; next to the definition, of definition.

he did have some deep shit. But i think he can still do that for example Motivation and i hate love are sorta deep.

Re: Anyone else glad of the new sober Wayne

One of the only things that's ever bugged me about wayne, or for the most part rap in general, is the inability to stick to the subject. Like someone said we only have 8ish songs or something so it's too soon to tell, but it sounds to me like the sober wayne is doing a better job sticking to one subject and connecting the punchlines and such. For example motivation, in a song like that your money, your cars, how great of a rapper you are, etc aren't relevant. And I was thankful he didn't talk about that stuff and just stuck to the subject of the song. I mean don't get me wrong the 6 foot 7 foots and look at me nows and songs like those the subject isn't quite as important and i like those a lot too. But i hope to see some more songs where he does stick to the subject and connect all those small punchlines into a bigger picture.

                          Plus I like the clarity.
