His the god of features, when people see Wayne is featured in a track, they want to fucking hear it more... I think the pushback turned some of you into retards.

I'm going to assume you're talking about me considering I was the only person to say something like that, however you and everyone completely misunderstood. Everyone wants to work with Wayne, eveerryyonneee, all I was saying was that I felt like he was overexposing himself by doing all of those features, it doesn't make anyone crave his music, there's not that certain hype I feel other artists who are bit more reclusive have. That's it, jeez, I don't understand why everyone took that as me saying he 'begs', I didn't even use that word or anything like it smh. And it's my opinion, I know other people disagree.

To him, hopping on somebody's song, is childs play. You think he actually sits there, writes shit down (for a feature?) No.
It's like homework to him, and to him, homework is simple.

They want Wayne for who he is, and that's a "freestyling" monster. He gets a line, and jumps on it. Then continues. Most of his verses on a featured song, probably take, the most...an hour. Now i don't hang with the man, it's just a guess. And i wasn't pointing you out exactly, i just skimmed through the comments and read something about him hopping on songs. But obviously he's doing something right, with all these songs on the billboard charts. Kelly's song wouldn't be shit without Wayne, tbh.

I'm aware of everything you said, and I understand your opinion, all I was saying is that I know he doesn't 'beg' people to put him on their tracks, I didn't say anything like that.

I'm not gonna read every single post, but I saw a couple things.

                  1. Somebody saying if Wayne isn't on top then you don't know music. Lets be real, Wayne was on top during the C2-C3 era. Wayne is not CLEARY the top guy anymore. Ross has blown up, Drake is just as popular now, Eminem still shits on anybody sales/hit wise, and Kanye is the most relevant guy in music as far as I'm concerned. Wayne is not clearly the top guy, he's got company now.

                  2. Just cause Ross goes on before Wayne doesn't justify saying he ain't running shit. Ross is all in the streets, he has put out more consistent work in the last year than anybody on a mainstream level. Also, Wayne comes on before Nicki..so does that mean Nicki is ultimately running Hip Hop? No.

Aside from all that, saying he lost it isn't accurate either. Did you not hear his verse on "Fuck Food"?

Wayne is still on top. I was at the Phillies game a couple weeks ago and on the big screen they showed them asking all the players who they would want to perform in their backyard. Out of the entire team, 6 people said Lil Wayne. That is pretty good considering many baseball players listen to country, rock, etc. 0 for Eminem, 0 for Ross, 1 for Kanye, 1 for Jay-Z.

You may not think he is still on top, but in his mind he is still on top. In the minds of other rappers, he is still on top. In the minds of celebrities he is still on top. And, most importantly, in the minds of supportive fans, he is still on top

                          1. Eminem isn't releasing shit anymore that's on the radio, so how is he selling anything?
                          2. Ross is good, don't get me wrong, but still...not on Wayne's level, before and after jail.
                          3. Wayne wasn't on top at his C2 era. He had a small fanbase then. He blew up when Lollipop was released, March 2008.
                          4. I agree, based on the whole (3) singles we got from C4, he doesn't sound as hungry. But he knows what he's doing.

We know he has some deep shit regarding his family, jail, staying off drugs, etc. on the album. We really can't judge a CD by it's cover.
