the better the album is, the more people are going to buy it, that's just how it is
if you look at the top album sales, the album is either a classic or game changing..
besides your opinion..if the album doesn't sell, it reflects the quality. it dropped, bumped for a minute, but no one will remember it
This may have been the case a few years ago..but nowadays quality of music doesnt have too much to do with how well it sells..on second thought u are somewhat right..its just some peoples view of quality music is a bit off to say the least for example Carter 3 sold more than Carter 2 in large part because of a song (Lolipop) that i dont really consider a great quality Wayne song..(Dont get me wrong i like lolipop..well a lil bit lol) but that song was a huge hit with sooo many people which helped the album sell more than tha Carter 2 which is seen as the better album by most..Im a Lupe fan and i dont know if u are but im gonna use him as an example..he just dropped the album called Lasers which is by far worse than his previous two Albums "The Cool" and "Food and Liquor"..yet Lasers was his first Album that debuted at #1 on the charts..i guess the times are changing so and the majority of people like to hear "Mainstream" stuff (for lack of a bettter term)..but i guess you are right in a way that the better the album is the more it will sell, but what some people consider to be quality music is just...weird lol

"How to Love" Is one of the best songsi n Wayne's entire career. A career defining song.

          2. Ross is good, don't get me wrong, but still...not on Wayne's level, before and after jail.
          3. Wayne wasn't on top at his C2 era. He had a small fanbase then. He blew up when Lollipop was released, March 2008.
          4. I agree, based on the whole (3) singles we got from C4, he doesn't sound as hungry. But he knows what he's doing.

We know he has some deep shit regarding his family, jail, staying off drugs, etc. on the album. We really can't judge a CD by it's cover.

Eminem's Recovery sold 700k in its first week..in 2010...when his album was leaked at least 3 weeks in advance. It's at 4 mill U.S. as of now, and over 6 mill worldwide. The single him and Royce are about to put out with Bruno Mars is gonna most likely blow up too, so Bad Meets Evil is about to do numbers. Anything Eminem is apart of does numbers, he doesn't have a major album under 2 mill. His 1st 2 singles from Recovery went #1 on Billboard also, so how is he not on the radio?

Ross as of right now, may not be BETTER than Wayne, but he is surely putting out better material. His grind right now is what Waynes grind use to be. In a year from Ross we've gotten 2 solid mixtapes/street albums for free. Teflon Don which was a great album, and now Self Made which is another great album. While doing all of that, he managed to build a strong team and put them all on.

As far as Wayne being on top, I meant after C2 was out for a while. Between C2 release and C3 is when he blew up. C2 was well percieved and sold well, he put out his best work mixtape wise, and killed every feature. That is the reason why C3 was so highly anticipated and why hackers went all out leaking it. That buzz has died down, he won't get that back. He's still a top the game, but with a lot of company. Lets be honest, outside of this website, the rest of the world is worried about Watch The Throne more than C4. Watch The Throne will steal 2011, while C4 should still be a very good second, if it even comes out at this point.

Notsureifserioustbh bro. Went from 16 to 6 today. Sounds like a good thing to me, but I guess not since it's flopping right?
Lollipop debuted at 85, and you see wtf that did.
How to love debuted at like 50 or 60 something.
Just chill yo, shit don't blow up over night
