Great thread sportz, well for the first few pages.

I think he just got complacent and lost his hunger after selling a milli in a week. When the Light Up verse got released I though he was gonna come back and rap like the Carter 2 days but that definitely wasn't the case. The fact that he knows he's gonna sell a lot probably makes him feel like he doesn't have to try very hard. I'm sure he isn't a perfectionist like he used to be, rewording line and all that. Most likely he rushes his verses.

Its been disappointing seeing his decline though. Years ago he was basically all I listened to, now I rarely listen to his music at all.

C4 didnt even necessarily disappoint me lyrics wise i got what i expected, but like your saying the fact that he didnt put the stuff on the album that he said was gonna be there....no band song....no jail songs....just club songs

I also can see he is rushing his verses. It seems he is proud of just making allot of songs.

I notice in allot of intervjues he sais that he is always making music and is working hard. In my eyes that does not count at all. If you are making something and it sux it does not matter that you made 100 different things. they all suck and if you worked hard is just your problem.

Its like digging a grave. You can digg 100 graves and work 12 hours a day, but still no one gives a flying fuck. If you make one building,the tallest building in the world people, will watch and envy you.

My point is he needs to accept he lost his flow, swagga and go in the booth for 4 months straight. trash all those songs and get back in the game. He then needs to focus on quality and not getting sattisfied just because he put out a 100 songs in month.

i really dont think he cares anymore......i think he is arrogant in the fact that he is rich and is making money, so hell keep doing it till it doesnt work anymore.....look at how bad carter 4 was (or not up to par), and look at how much he made off of it.....he doesnt care what people say about it (review sites and such), because it sells, and i believe thats all he is going for now is money, which is quite unfortunate

Great thread, hes next project will show us if he really still got it, but IMO I think he gotta be mad at all these critics :/
Hes recent features are good in comparison to the shitty stuff we heard this year, I gotta feeling that hes next project will be great we just gotta sit back and watch.
sometimes I wish he had that perfectionist sense that kanye have, that would be dope :/
