Poor artist how? He's long since perfected his craft, still gives us vintage Weezy. He's always trying out different styles and trying to be creative in different ways. There's more to being an "artist" than beat selection and sticking to the same formula.

I feel like the music is missing the human element. If you look at something like 1 Night Only, you can tell that a shit load of effort and time was put into that. His music nowadays seems rushed and just lacks that replay value his older music had. Even FWA music felt complete

that's not all i mean when i say structure. there's meaning to the song. he stays on topic. the lyrics actually make sense. his vocals are mastered correctly. there's more than just one single vocal track over the whole song. he does harmonies, adlibs, background vocals. there's EFFORT. all of which has been absolutely absent since FWA.

His biggest problem today is his voice, I know it's controversial here but it's so evident. It's what I keep hearing from people who don't fuck with Wayne, even people who used to fuck with him say he's too high pitched now.

No one had that complaint for Rebirth, and trust me there were ALOT of complaints for Rebirth.. and it's only gotten worse since then. Could it be that he lost his voice so much that he has problems pronunciating words without rapping high pitched? Cause you can definitely hear the consequense of smoking blunts 24/7 in his new interviews where he talks normal.

Tracks like Mahogany are killer and could blow, alot of people here will blame his team, sure they fuck up alot but I blame his voice. You are probaly so used to his voice that you can't even realize it. But his voice sounds weird and mushy, it sounds tired and high pitched at several points.

Yeah it's like all the bass has left his voice when he's rapping, like he's speaking from his nose and not his throat and chest. I don't really understand it, it's not the same as post-prison, the MTV unplugged performance was the best his voice has ever sounded. Since like 2015/16 it's been weird. 2014 and on all the NC2 leaks and stuff he sounded as close to his C3 era voice as ever. A lot of D6 too actually. Like compare that performance to the Drave Vs Wayne tour, compare his voice on Family Feud to BB King, it definitely sounds weaker. Then on top of that he's only got his front teeth left which seems to have happened in the past two or three years and has definitely made him sound different. I think a lot of it is how he chooses to use his voice but yeah it's weird.

THIS THIS THIS SO MUCH THIS ^^^ the structure is so absent from his music no one takes away waynes ability to RAP but the fact he cant articulate a song on topic and with a focused idea behind it hurts his album quality so much its one of the reasons i love BIG WORM its got melodies its got a topic its got focus like so many of the VELVET tracks

you 100% right with this his voice has been all the way fucked for to long haha losing all his teeth + the heavy smoking definitely have contributed to this not to sound ignorant but if you rich as fuck why not hire someone to fix your damn teeth and help bring your vocals to where they used to be or somewhere close my understanding is post malone had a similar issues that man smokes cigarettes but hired someone to adjust his vocal range as a result of it i dont know shit about vocal coaching but surely its a thing right?
