i don't think thats a fair assumption i listen to old-school type of music as well as trap and all that and to pimp a butterfly has a really authentic unique sound you cant really compare it to anything tbh it has similarities with a lot of different genres so its not the easiest listen you have to approach it a certain way and in a certain mood to fully appreciate it i mean it took me ages to even give it a spin i hated it on first listen but waited a few months now im really enjoying it its just a weird album.
