Eminem is officially the second best-selling male recording artist of all-time, thanks to a recent milestone passed by the rapper's latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2."
The 41-year-old passed country singer George Strait for the mark after "MMLP2" hit 2 million records sold last week, giving Em a record sales total of 44.9 million. Strait has sold 44.89 million records in his 30-years music career. It should be noted, however, that Strait's carrer started before the inception of Nielsen SoundScan data.

All of the "Rap God's" albums have now sold more than 2 million records, with the first "Marshall Mathers LP" leading the way with 10.8 million units sold, Billboard reports.
Eminem also recently secured his 50th Billboard Hot 100 song with "Headlights." The track, which features fun.'s Nate Reuss, debuted at number 86 on the chart.
Eminem will make his return to the Lollapalooza stage this year following the success of "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." The 41-year-old rapper headlines the 10th annual Chicago music festival alongside acts Skillrex, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys, according to industry sources, The Chicago Tribune reports.
Eminem also recently announced he is taking his scary-successful hit, "The Monster," out of the cage for a mini-tour this summer with Rihanna, XXL reports.
The pop-rap duo will kick off the three-city tour this August, the "Marshall Mathers LP 2" rapper recently told the magazine.
"There are some shows coming up with Rihanna," Eminem said. "It's a three-city tour: New York, L.A. and Detroit coming in August. The Monster Tour."
Eminem wrapped up his "Rapture" Tour in Sydney, Australia at ANZ Stadium a few weeks ago. The "Rap God" performed alongside Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Action Bronson, 360 and others.
You can check out the Detroit-bred rapper on the cover of the April/May issue of XXL, as Em, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine share the magazine's cover for the first time together.
The issue commemorates the rise of Beats, along with the recent launch of the Beats Music streaming service, which Eminem used to help launch the promo for "The Marshall Mathers LP 2".
The issue, which hit stands March 11, contains features on the Beats brand, the new streaming service and interviews with Eminem and Iovine about the impact Beats has had on the music industry.
Even if his awkward ass neither needs it, nor necessarily deserves it. In his prime, he will always be considered the greatest to me. But this is long past that. Happy for him anyway.
