Dude was so right about Nicki. Wayne got to let some slag off that bitch's leash. Anyone remember Dedication III. "Still I Rise" that Nicki was good, she just cocky as fuck now. She think she entitled to greatness because of Wayne. She new as fuck to this game, and already she got ALOT of haters. No one hated Wayne until what 2009? To sum it up, Nicki need to slow the fuck down.

P.S. I want that bitch to sit on my face.

Re: Discussion: What's the consensus? Is YMCMB on the downfall?

I think no album can be seen as a classic in this generation based on the fact people want new stuff all the time, and because most of the stuff has been done, it becomes old quickly.

Illmatic is a classic because it's a first of it's kind to do it, rap was still very new at the time and it set a trend.

What more can artists do now to change the industry? The Beatles had to change constantly in the ten years they were around, because so many fans wanted new stuff from them, and because they were the first of any kind to do it there albums will be forever seen as classics.

Personally i think C3 and Dedication 2 are classics based on:
I love every song on the album/mixtape
      Features are on point
      Beats are solid
      Has loads of replay value
Can requote lyrics time and time again.

I believe people should see the song 'Doctor Carter' as a classic song as it was a first of it's kind to do it, and he executed it awesomely.

So to answer your question, i don't thin YMCMB have fallen off, there in a time period where they can't do anything that new to be considered classics. I have plenty of albums no one would consider classics, except me, but as a community people will disagree on any album being an classic.

I don't really Nas that much, had Untitled on my Ipod for ages and just never could get into it, every song was bascially about how black people were treated differently, it had nothing new to offer to me and sounded the same.

It's all well and good for people to thrive for new lyrics and intelligent lyrics, but when you get 15 tracks of the same topic, that gets old.

Carter 4 had different topics but was slandered because of Wanye poor lyrics and similar beats.

That Nas/Marley album was considered amazing but the had the same song over and over again.

Wayne spoke about cars, women, money, what he would do if he became president, bragging about his life style, love. But people didn't like that for the fact the way he delivered them were poor.

Nas only really speaks about how hard a black mans life is and people love it for the fact the way he delivers it is awesome.

I'd much rather hear different stories in a song than the same one.

Okay, so my final word on this conversation is... I don't know what it is.

I guess opinion is the most important thing. But let me be clear right here: Some of you guys make fun and troll on Lil B fans (for example). That shit must stop, then. Cause it's all a matter of opinion.
        Your words, not mine.

(In no way am I comparing Wayne's music to Lil B's)

But we can forget about this and move on.

Tyga's album is pretty cool tho.
