Re: Fitness/Gym/Muscle-Thread
started a new routine for about a month now, its a full body workout every second day (consisting of bench press, bent over rows, squats, deadlifts, military press and weighted pullups), and during the morning of those days wake up early for a swim, and on my off days i go and do abs and HIIT (high intensity interval training), the results are amazing aha ive increased my sqaut by 100 pounds, and overall everything has increased alot....its a great way to gain muscle and lose fat as well, i strongly suggest this to anyone whos working out now, and if anyone has tips that could help me improve my workout would be much appreciated, you can pm me if you would like a better breakdown of the workout

Re: Fitness/Gym/Muscle-Thread
Trying to loose a little layer of fat preventing my abs from fully showing, what do I do?
Intensify my ab routine only? Or Increase my cardio and intensify my ab routine?
Oh and I do cardio after my workout not before. Usually 1 mile +.

Intesifying your ab routine will not help you get rid of fat. You have to increase cardio.
but thanks, more cardio it is.

Re: Fitness/Gym/Muscle-Thread
Yeah, that's why you have to do 20-30mins (that is when you start burning fat) of cardio (treadmill or something similar) and cintinue with weights/ab routine/whatever.
If Your Goal is Burning Calories for Fat Loss
If your primary goal is to burn as many calories as you can in a single session, it's probably best to do cardio first and lift weights next. There isn't any magic behind this; it's simply easier for most people to burn more calories per exercise session when they do cardio first. However, almost any combination of burning more calories while eating fewer will result in fat loss.
BUT I also read this:
"First, doing cardio before weights will pre-fatigue your muscles, limiting your weight training. Doing cardio after weights will not. Second, weight training will serve as a sort of pre-exhaust for cardio; lowering your blood sugar and allowing you to burn fat immediately after you start cardio. If you do cardio first, it will take about 20 minutes before you really start to burn fat"
