The age of a film doesn't matter if you love movies. There are so many amazing ones out there that people miss out on because they "can't stand them" or whatever, and that's a real shame tbh...

Alfred Hitchcock, my favourite director, is who got me into watching movies that aren't from a newer time. I watched his film 'North by Northwest' from 1959 and was so surprised by the level of suspense and well written dialogue for its time. I also checked out some Chaplin movies and most of his movies are top notch with timeless comedy and memorable scenes.

Of course some effects are dated, some of the movies are slow-paced, and it was limited how much you could do back then. But the plus side of that is, movies didn't need huge budgets and CGI-effects to be great. They worked with what they had and the quality is therefore miles better than a lot of CGI-heavy and lazy try-hard movies that are released these days.
