Drake isn't punchline rapper, but he is highly inspirated by Wayne and you can hear it from his songs. that's all. i don't think Drake will ever reach Wayne level when he was recording C2, C3, No Ceilings, DD3, D2.

DO people realize that Wayne has been in the game for 17 years with 9 solo albums, 5 collab albums, 10+ mixtapes and much more ...When Drake is in the game for 17 years, with relative amount of work then we can compare Wayne now to Drake then. Otherwise seriously bro, these type of threads don't make sense to me. Their good in their own right and Drake has a great future ahead of him but seriously Drake right now is no where near Lil Wayne in his prime, he's dope as fuck but he hasn't reached his maximum potential..

Honestly, I agree that Drake is better lyrically, but that's only when Wayne chooses to overlook subject matter. The only reason Drake is better is because he has subject matter, not because he's more creative lyrically. Though it helps that he does have creativity. Wayne just isn't much for relatable songs, nowadays, and he's really overexhausted himself since C2.

Once Drake has spread himself paper thin, let's revisit this topic.

Though Wayne bodied Drake on It's Good. Subject matter or not. Wayne ran away with that song on some DD3 shit.

This is like comparing Derrick Rose to Kobe Bryant. Is Rose the better player and athlete right now? Maybe. It's a close call. But does Rose have five NBA titles and all of the other accomplishments Kobe has? No. Wayne is way more successful, but he's been in the game longer. When Drake and Wayne are done for good, then they can be compared.

Also, the game is completely different now that when Wayne got in. It's really hard to compare. I would venture to say that Drake has had more promotion early in his career than Wayne did. How much has his association with Wayne helped him in terms of mainstream listeners?

Tbh, there are just too many variables to compare the two fairly and equally.

You guys have to be stupid to even think that the Carter IV will out sell WTT, I don't think a Album that will come out in the next 10 years will out sell it. Waynes fan base stayed the same or increased over the past years. But guess what? There all downloaders. Young Kids who don't give two shits about the physical copy of an album. The chances of it out selling WTT are slime man. It going platinum the first week I don't dough it but it won't out sell WTT.
I like wayne much more then I like kanye too. So this isn't biased just reality.

As an artist Drake has surpassed Wayne and is now the best artist on YM. I still don't think he has reached carter 2, drought 3 Wayne yet but he's still got time. I think his next album take care will be a better album, and it will outsell Wayne as well. I'll probably get banned for making this thread because u can't say anything negative about Wayne.
