[/quote:3o6wea7m]
I dont know how you came to that conclusion. I try to have a meeting one hour a week. I also write for the college paper and work three days a week. I do find ways to waste time though speaking of which
Problems with hip-hop =
Soulja
Gucci
Lil B
New Boyz
College Boyz
Party Boyz
How to avoid problems with hip hop =
Don't name your group " " Boyz
The problem is that people listen to it... and i'll never understand why
cuz we like to dance....and New Boyz have great dancing ..."Jerking" music[/quote:9wg2os0k]
you like those bullshit song like you're a jerk he repeats himself 20 billion times.
Me personally i think that hip-hop is not really hip-hop anymore people that call themselves rappers more so just about everybody that came out after soulja boy (soulja boy included) are pop stars not rappers, they are black (not being racist cause i am black too) and automatically think that they fit in the rapper section when they need to be in the pop star section. Most if not all. And its so easy for someone to get a contract these days that it is pitiful all you got to do is post a video on youtube make a dance or bite someone else's dance (no matter how dumb it is (example: flex)) and you will 99.9% get a contract. Then after that they dont care what you tdo as long as people are listening just like sorry ass waka flocka said in a video on wshh. And he basically said that as long as he making money he will say anything no matter how dumb it is to please whoever listening. And that is sadly what these "rappers" are doing. Thats the main reason i dont even listen to the radio.
And I personally think that you are ignorant if you listen and support new and upcoming "rappers" that think like that. They say anything and people are to ignorant to even attempt to figure out what the song is even about or listen to the words. And i have proven that many times. Ask someone that like gucci mane or waka or soulja boy the hottest punchline they ever said and i guarantee that they will get stuck and just say "oh i just like the beat, i dont like the actual song" or "i dont know i just like the beat". It never fails.
They should start given their producers or whoever make their beat more credit cause that is who is making them. They should shout their producer every song and you should be able to search producers instead of artist lol.
And i am only 17 and it seem like me and a few friends of mine at my school are the only ones that realize this and it dont take a rocket scientist to figure this out
when hip hop went mainstream with all these rappers like soulja boy and mc hammer kind of killed hip hop and alot of these ring tone rappers too.i miss the 90"s rap that was the best era then puff daddy came in messed it up and rap became mainstream.

No offense to anyone here but I feel the same way about Lil Wayne. Dude's been in the game for a hot minute but other then that I dont see what all the hype is about. I havent heard anything remotely intelligient or clever come out of his mouth since he grabbed the mic.
The problem with hip-hop is that these artists are commin out with commercial shit just because if they didn't they would have any fans. and plus if you come out with some gangster shit you'll probably get a negative response...

Too true bro.
Just look at Tech N9ne, he couldn't get a big deal cause he spoke real shit, cause he didn't follow mainstream and he talked about shit that people don't normally do. He was seen as making "white music" which lost him a lot of fans but he's still the best selling independent rap artist of all time. Just says something to me really that big labels don't know how to market artists who talk about real shit or break away from the mainstream.
People are hating. I am seventeen and explored a great deal of Hip-Hop. Since practically birth. Most of my life is based from it. I see Hip-Hop today as the evolved-form of Hip-Hop from yesterday. It's modern-day society now. The future. Wayne and other rappers (can name a few..) who stick to that, and does well on holding the belt. Hip-Hop ain't making a 'real song' on a grimey beat about poverty and shit in the hood. It may have started that way, but that's just it. And I loved it.
I admit. But I do admit I accept the 'new age' of rap. Listening to this rappers are using more styles, longer and more sophistacationg words. More trippy and clever similies and metaphors. Even have lines with multiple meaning, or saying a word the wrong way to change the whole meaning to a line. And the use of adlibs.. give songs emotions or a certain feel.
That put emphasis on what they tryna say. But I ain't saying ALL is good..

YES!
The way I look at it is the labels are playing it safe. Like if they see a really good response to one record they automatically want to make their artist sound like that because they know they will be successful and bring in some serious money. But if you had some real deep lyrics about gang life etc. they will stay away from you like when 50 cent first started, he wouldn't get signed because he was basically a gangster.

Exactly bro
If you're not this mainstream genre of rap you don't get anywhere with a big label and to make it on an Independent label is almost impossible now-a-days
A lot of independent artists are just amazing and if you see videos of them performing they're shows are normally 100x better than a mainstream artist as well lol
