Not sure, Danny had asked the delevoper about being able to find out which specific posts you got thanked in but I'm not sure he ever got back to Danny. As for being notified when you get thanked I think there is no such modification at this moment, though i'll double check when I get some time to browse the vbulletin.org website.

When we need more moderators then we do a mass announcement and users are able to apply filling out a application, as of now we're okay but i'm sure in the future when the time comes we'll need more as most moderators become inactive or move on.
